The BIG News!!!!

Boy do I have some exciting news to share with you today. But first some other things.

It snowed a lot here on Sunday so Myself along with two of my friends decided it would ba a good idea to go sledding at 9:00 PM on Sunday night. Except the only problem was we didn't have sleds. So we had to come up with our own way of sledding. The plan - put on the slickest clothes we have, which for me was my military issued rain gear, and slide down the hill on our stomachs. It worked and we had fun. I was going to post a video of the event but it was too dark to see anything.

On Wednesday I got to eat lunch with this man. Major General John Morgan. He is the commander of 2nd. Infantry Division, the division I'm a part of. I was just one of the lucky few who was selected. I sat right across the table from him.

A Sad Day

I think everyone who read this blog could guess my views on man who is going to be assuming the presidency on Tuesday. Do not get me wrong however, I think it is awesome that we are at a point in America where a African American can be elected president. However I just don't think that Barack Obama is the man for the job.

I am sad to see President Bush leaving office. I believe the liberal media has run rampant during his terms in office and made him into some sort of evil war lord. However I believe that he did all the right things after September 11.

There is no way someone can convince me that going to war to stop a tyrannical murderer from killing his own countrymen or threatening other countries is a bad thing. It is a shame that people have to die to make that change, but it is part of stopping evil. I am sorry that people, American, Iraqi and others, died and will die in this war. I'm even sorrier that the great people of America didn't step up sooner to stop the deaths of multitudes more who died for absolutely no reason other than to satisfy one man's desire to gain and retain power.

I believe that some things are worth fighting for... and if you aren't willing to fight, and die if necessary, for something then you don't deserve the rights and privileges we take for granted as Americans.

I guess I should leave off there before I get going on a long tangent that no one wants to read. I guess these next four years could be interesting.

Snow Fun

It has actually snowed here! I admit I did not think I was ever going to see it snow enough in Korea for it to give a good layer of and actually stick. But I was proven wrong. I was even able to make some snow angels on the flight line.

And yes it has been quite cold here. I believe it was in the low twenties last week. Doesn't make it very funny for working outside.

Look What Arrived

We all know that Christmas is already done and I would assume that everybody has taken down their Christmas decorations. The funny thing is I don't think the post office knows that since they just brought me this . . .

Yes that would be a Christmas tree that my mother sent me back on November. I guess the post office just thought I didn't get enough Christmas cheer in December so they would deliver some to me in January.

It may be after Christmas but at least I still got to enjoy the cheer that a Christmas tree can bring.

 

More Fun in Seoul

As I mentioned before I have some more pictures to share of Seoul.

Mackin and I stopped at a medium sized shopping area and this was a hallway leading to one of the floors. I thought it was a cool way to lead up to the stores.
